Privacy Policy

Introduction

Dissiq ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps content creators analyze videos across multiple platforms. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

In short: Dissiq does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. Your data stays on your device.

Data We Access

Video Page Content (via Content Scripts)

When you visit a supported video platform (YouTube, Bilibili, Douyin, Xiaohongshu), Dissiq's content script reads publicly available information from the page:

This data is accessed solely to provide the extension's core analysis functionality. It is processed locally or sent to the AI API provider you configure.

Storage (Local Only)

Dissiq uses your browser's local storage to save:

All stored data remains on your device. Dissiq does not sync this data to any cloud service or remote server.

Data Transmission

AI API Provider (Your Choice)

Dissiq sends video metadata, transcripts, and comments to the AI API provider you configure in the settings panel. This is essential for the extension's core functionality (video breakdown, comment analysis, content generation).

Creem (Payment Processing — Merchant of Record)

When you purchase a Pro license, payment is processed by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia), which acts as the Merchant of Record. This means Creem — not Dissiq — is the legal seller of your purchase, and Creem handles VAT, sales tax, invoicing, and refunds globally. Dissiq does not see or store your payment information. Charges on your card statement may appear as CREEM*DISSIQ or similar. License key validation goes through a Cloudflare Worker we operate (extension/worker/license-proxy.js in our open-source repo). The Worker forwards license activation requests to Creem with our private API key; the only data sent is your license key and a generated instance ID. The Worker does not log or store license keys or personally identifiable information. The license key you receive by email is stored locally on your device (Chrome storage.local) to verify your subscription status across sessions.

Platform APIs

Dissiq makes direct requests to platform APIs (e.g., Bilibili API, Douyin API) to fetch transcript and comment data. These requests are made from your browser and are subject to each platform's terms of service and privacy policies.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Dissiq does not collect, transmit, or have access to:

Dissiq contains no analytics SDK, no telemetry, no tracking code, and no third-party scripts beyond the platforms explicitly listed above.
